Roong Arun at Verano Residence is a 4-bedroom pool villa located in the hills above Chaweng Noi beach with stunning sea views. It’s one of three brand new luxury villas, along with villas Faa Sang and Yam Chao, within the Verano Residence estate.

Villa Roong Arun’s interior is very much styled as a reflection of ancient Siam with intriguing antiques, Siamese artwork, statues of Buddha, traditional teak furniture and ornate carvings decorating each room and the expansive walkways. There is a striking yet peaceful sense that the villa is blessed and that each antique and ornamentation has its own unique story to tell.

On arrival you’ll walk up a short flight of steps and emerge directly onto the pool terrace. And there is an immediate ‘Wow’ moment as the views of the ocean and surrounding flora flood the senses. Take a moment and you’ll start to see Chaweng lake, the long arcing beach of Chaweng bay, a golden Thai stupa perched on the highest hill, smaller islets close to the coast and the looming mountains of Koh Phangan in the distance.  The sun rises above the ocean each morning and shines brightly on the infinity pool and terrace all day until finally dipping behind the hills around the villa in the late afternoon. You’ll be torn between exploring Samui and spending every minute of your stay by the pool which has an in-built Jacuzzi. And on the very spacious terrace there are sunbeds, comfortable seating, a BBQ, an outdoor shower and plenty of shade from the midday sun. There is also a side terrace with comfy seating to enjoy the sunset or relax with a book.

On the upper level there are four double en-suite bedrooms located along a wide and naturally lit corridor. Each bedroom has glass sliding doors that open onto an extensive roof terrace, again with those incredible views. It’s a wonderful spot to relax or sunbathe during the day and it’s a fabulous evening entertainment area that could comfortably host a cocktail party or a family gathering. And it’s the perfect place to watch the sun rise every morning. Each bedroom is spacious with tiled flooring and natural light streaming in throughout the day. All the rooms have air-conditioning, a large screen smart TV, more than enough storage space for clothing, subdued bedside lamps and a safety deposit box.

There is a shared gym for the three villas located to the side of villa Roong Arun, and each villa has its own key for private access. With floor-to-ceiling glass windows the gym also has perfect views over the ocean. It’s equipped with a treadmill, an Impulse bicycle, an adjustable bench, dumbbells, a yoga mat and an Escape gym ball and it’s fully air-conditioned.

The villa also has a live-in couple including Thai cook to take care of your everyday requirements. The villa is just 15 minutes from the airport, 10 minutes to the long expanse of the golden beaches of Lamai and Chaweng and just a few minutes to the closest beach and beachside restaurants at Chaweng Noi Beach. Verano Residence estate has a private access road, a gated entrance with 24 hour security, CCTV cameras, landscaped gardens, abundant parking and a fibre-optic internet connection.
